The privilege of visiting a new school every week..

I can't believe just how much energy and enthusiasm the kids show and bring everyday it's truly incredible. The smiles, the cheers and the waves honestly just brightens up your day no matter how you're feeling. After two weeks of walking for thirty minutes every morning to Kazuru primary school, I very much miss the walk, it was an excellent way to release any stress or frustration that we had built up inside. However, moving to our next school Standard Academy was just a little overwhelming especially when we first turned up and got out of the car, the cheers echoed around the whole school, which I thought would be a one off, but how wrong could I be. The cheers occur every morning as we step out of the car one by one and well I was amazed by the reaction. The passion that these kids have for football really is outstanding, if only the Arsenal first team showed the same amount.. The week here at Standard Academy has been mind blowing, I honestly didn't think that the passion for learning would increase but it has! The bar has been risen here at Standard Academy and I can't wait to visit more schools over the next five weeks. When it comes to handing out kit as prizes I honestly thought it would be so rewarding, but it's completely the opposite. The kids here simply do not understand the fact that we can not hand out a prize to every child. So therefore, we hand out a piece of kit to one child per class, which can be very frustrating for us and especially the other kids. When it comes to methods of ways to distribute it out we've tried pretty much all of them. Moving on we all hope that the weeks that follow provide us with good sportsmanship and more hard work!

What's next for us?

Well after three weeks of coaching and teaching in primary schools, we are going to be using our trade in a secondary school. Which I am very much looking forward to as the standard of football and English will rise and I think that the experience will be a very positive one.
