The kids we coach have exams in March. So Arup, the IYSA manager, gave us a week of holidays after the Chennai camp.

As it seems to be a habit for past years Gappers we, Fabian and I, chose to go to Goa for a couple of days.
Goa appears to be out of India for its load of foreign tourists who enjoy the large beaches and pleasant weather.
Back in Delhi my routine was turning around football and coaching. Here I can say that I completely disconnected from football. And I have to admit that sometimes it's good to escape a little bit.
Runs between the motorbikes to the top of the hill with my official gym coach and partner, laying down in the sofa, wandering around the flea market and discover new kind of cuisine were my new activities. This former Portuguese colonized place is famous for partying so I had an insight of the goan nightlife when we went out in this full of tourists open-air club. I even started kite surfing with Robin, a qualified instructor, who already transmitted me the addiction to this sport. The cherry on the cake...
Four days into our stay there, football called us again. I knew it would be hard to avoid it longer... we went to the Fatorda stadium and witnessed a slow rhythmed but nonetheless thrilling 2-2 draw between Sporting Clube Goa and FC Bengaluru, two of the top teams in the Indian first division.
All good thing come to an end and I have to say that my stay in Goa is definitely going to be one of my highlights in India. Football is calling me for real now. I'm back on the pitch with the kids as the exams are over.
